About the role

We are seeking a qualified Anesthesia Technician to join CURE International’s Children’s Hospital in Niamey, Niger. The role supports surgical teams by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to the delivery of high‑quality orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries for children with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, test, and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment for each surgical case.
• Assist anesthesiologists and surgical staff during operations, monitoring equipment functionality.
• Ensure compliance with infection‑control and safety standards in the operating theatre.
• Participate in the sterilization and inventory management of anesthesia supplies.
• Provide support for post‑operative recovery areas, including equipment checks.

Required profile

• Relevant certification or training as an anesthesia technician.
• Experience working in a hospital or surgical environment, preferably in low‑resource settings.

Required skills
