Vaccine Logistics and Cold Chain Technical Assistant

About the role

The Technical Assistant will support the implementation of the Cold Chain Equipment Optimization Project (CCEOP2) in Niger, monitoring vaccine supply chain activities and ensuring the proper installation and operation of cold chain equipment across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor installation of cold chain equipment according to the CCEOP2 deployment plan and keep the equipment database up‑to‑date.
• Support regional teams in collecting delivery notes, installation reports and user‑training records.
• Assist the Directorate of Immunization in preparing for the 2026 Effective Vaccine Management (EVM/GEV) assessment.
• Supervise vaccine and cold chain management at regional, district and service‑delivery points, including monthly physical inventories.
• Provide regular reports to the U.S. Department of State and participate in weekly coordination calls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) in Health Logistics, General Logistics, Industrial Refrigeration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in cold chain and vaccine supply‑chain management.
• Must be a Nigerien national with strong communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Competence in email and internet navigation.
