About the role

CURE International is seeking two experienced operating‑room nurses to join its Children’s Hospital in Niamey, Niger. The positions are full‑time and focus on providing high‑quality surgical care to children with severe orthopedic conditions and other disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during orthopedic, burn‑sequelae, and cleft‑lip/palate procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper instrument handling.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to intra‑operative emergencies.
• Document nursing care accurately and communicate with the surgical team.
• Participate in post‑operative care and patient education.

Required profile

• Qualified nursing degree with a focus on surgical or peri‑operative care.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in an operating‑room setting.
• Demonstrated compassion, integrity, and commitment to CURE’s Christian values.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in French; English proficiency is a plus.
