Project Coordinator, Ensemble

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a solutions‑driven Project Coordinator for the multi‑year “Ensemble” initiative, which aims to strengthen sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in humanitarian settings across the Sahel. Based in one of the project countries (Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali or Chad) and travelling frequently to the others, you will support high‑quality implementation of three strategic objectives focused on advocacy, coordination and power‑shifting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project work plan, grant budget and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including regional coalitions, national health coordinators and civil‑society partners.
• Facilitate regional partnerships and knowledge‑sharing across the humanitarian‑development nexus.
• Provide technical assistance to strengthen SRH working groups and coordination mechanisms.
• Oversee the co‑design and testing of innovative approaches that shift decision‑making power to local organisations.
• Support advocacy efforts and partnership management to advance SRHR in emergencies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian or development projects, preferably in SRHR.
• Strong advocacy and partnership‑building skills.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and travel frequently within the Sahel region.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management capabilities.
