Supply Chain Advisor – Health Products (Niger)

About the role

Dexis is seeking a Supply Chain Advisor to support Niger’s Directorate of Maternal, Child, Adolescent and Youth Health in managing the supply chain for health products. The advisor will embed within the national program to strengthen quantification, planning, and delivery of medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for end‑to‑end supply chain management of maternal and child health commodities, from needs planning to last‑mile delivery.
• Lead annual quantification exercises using the Quantification Analytics Tool (QAT) and adjust forecasts based on consumption data and stock levels.
• Coordinate order management with partners, monitor delivery timelines and prevent stock‑outs.
• Develop and institutionalize SOPs, guidelines, dashboards and performance indicators for warehousing and distribution.
• Strengthen the strategic use of logistics data, including validation, triangulation and quality‑control mechanisms.
• Organize capacity‑building workshops and document institutionalized mechanisms.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in logistics, health commodities supply chain, pharmacy or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in public‑health supply chain, including quantification and supply planning.
• Proven experience with U.S. Government‑funded health projects is strongly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix reporting environment and transfer skills to national teams.
• Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Quantification Analytics Tool (QAT) or similar forecasting software.
• Experience using DHIS2, eSIGL or other logistics information systems.
• Strong analytical capacity for logistics data analysis and visualization.
• Ability to develop dashboards, performance monitoring mechanisms and SOPs.
• Knowledge of early‑warning systems and pharmaceutical waste management.
