Space Market, Innovation & Investment Expert

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on developing space and geospatial markets, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and enhancing investment readiness across African and European ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis and produce studies on space and geospatial sectors.
• Design and implement innovation instruments, incubation and acceleration programmes.
• Advise on commercialisation strategies and investment readiness for space‑related ventures.
• Facilitate access to finance and support private‑sector engagement.
• Contribute to policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and institutional partnerships between Africa and the EU.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in market analysis, innovation, entrepreneurship, business development or investment advisory in technology sectors.
• At least 4 years of experience specifically in space or geospatial markets.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Knowledge of African space markets and investment ecosystems is a plus.
