Project Officer – Reintegration (Internal Mobility)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to support reintegration activities for returning migrants in Niger. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and Programme Officer (Protection and Reintegration), the incumbent will help design, implement and monitor national reintegration schemes under the Migrant Protection, Return and Reintegration Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate IOM caseworkers, reintegration assistants and partner organisations.
• Facilitate training, counselling and guidance for staff on reintegration case management.
• Provide technical inputs for the development of national reintegration schemes and standard operating procedures.
• Support the mainstreaming of protection into reintegration activities.
• Collaborate with sending missions to ensure timely, dignified returns and adjust schemes according to donor guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in migration, protection, development or related fields.
• Experience working with international organisations or NGOs on reintegration or protection programmes.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills, with ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
