Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Migrant Response & Resources

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the Migrant Response and Resources Mechanism (MRRM) in Niger. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Senior Programme Coordinator, the officer will help design, implement and strengthen M&E systems across multiple programme units.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and adapt the M&E framework for Reintegration, Protection/MHPSS, Medical, Operations and Movement units.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reviews, impact assessments, real‑time monitoring, mid‑term and final evaluations, and lessons‑learned workshops.
• Ensure M&E activities comply with donor, UN and headquarters requirements.
• Supervise M&E support staff to guarantee comprehensive coverage throughout project cycles.
• Collaborate with IOM units, donors, implementing partners and the United Nations Country Team on both quantitative and qualitative monitoring.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of migration‑related programmes.
• Ability to develop and adjust M&E frameworks and tools.
• Proven capacity to prepare analytical reports and facilitate learning workshops.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
