Marketing Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent by offering fee‑free, instant financial services across Africa. As a Marketing Manager you will lead both Above‑the‑Line (ATL) and Below‑the‑Line (BTL) initiatives to drive user growth, brand awareness and engagement in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute ATL (TV, radio, print) and BTL (events, promotions, on‑ground activations) strategies aligned with Wave’s growth targets.
• Plan, launch and oversee all marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
• Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, using data to optimise tactics.
• Manage and mentor a high‑performing marketing team.

Required profile

• Proven track record of designing and implementing marketing strategies that generate measurable business growth.
• Strategic thinker with a data‑driven mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience leading both ATL and BTL activities in a consumer‑facing environment.
