Full-time Reporter – KCCB General Secretariat

About the role

The KCCB General Secretariat is seeking a full-time, on-site Reporter to cover its activities, pastoral initiatives, and community issues. You will produce clear, accurate news and feature stories for print, digital, and multimedia platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Attend events, meetings and interviews to gather information.
• Research background material and verify facts.
• Write and edit news articles, feature stories and multimedia scripts.
• Collaborate with communication and media teams to develop content formats.
• Prepare scripts or briefs for audio-visual coverage.
• Maintain an organized archive of published content.
• Support editorial planning and scheduling.

Required profile

• Strong reporting, fact-checking and interviewing abilities.
• Excellent news writing skills with a clear, concise style.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Basic to intermediate multimedia experience.
• Diploma or degree in Journalism, Communication, Media Studies or related field.
• Experience in newsrooms or institutional communication is an advantage.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail and commitment to balanced reporting.
• Ability to work on-site in Kalley 2, meet deadlines and work in a team.
• Familiarity with faith-based or non-profit contexts is beneficial.
