French Language Specialist – Localization (Remote)

About the role

Gramian Consultancy is seeking a French Language Specialist to support multilingual content and localization projects for an international organization. This part‑time, remote contractor role focuses on translating, proofreading, and adapting content between French, English, and Hebrew while ensuring cultural relevance and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and localize written materials between French and English.
• Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency.
• Adapt tone and style to suit target audiences and project requirements.
• Perform linguistic quality assurance across various content formats.
• Provide guidance on Hebrew terminology, idioms, and cultural context.
• Review contributions from other team members and deliver actionable feedback.
• Maintain terminology lists, style guides, and language documentation.
• Support improvements to translation and localization workflows.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in French.
• Professional‑level written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of Hebrew grammar, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic conventions.
• Previous experience in translation, localization, proofreading, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Ability to produce clear, natural, audience‑appropriate Hebrew content.
• Familiarity with Hebrew cultural references, idioms, and language trends.
