Child Protection Officer (Violence Against Children/Justice)

About the role

The Child Protection Officer will support UNICEF’s child protection programmes in Niamey, focusing on violence against children and justice issues. Reporting to the Child Protection Specialist, the role involves technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout programme cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development and planning for child protection initiatives.
• Manage and monitor programme implementation to ensure delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational assistance throughout the programming process.
• Prepare, execute, and report on programme tasks, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Build networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building within the programme.

Required profile

• Professional technical, operational and administrative experience in child protection programmes.
• Ability to support programme development from planning to results delivery.
• Experience preparing, executing, managing and reporting on programme tasks.
• Capacity to work under supervision of a Child Protection Specialist.
