Backend Software Engineer

About the role

VerifNer is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help build the infrastructure that powers the next generation of digital identity verification. You will design, develop and scale backend services using TypeScript and Python, leveraging cloud platforms and AI/LLM technologies to deliver secure, high‑performance products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and scale backend systems with TypeScript and Python.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate large‑language‑model and AI APIs into core services.
• Collaborate with the founding team on technical decisions and architecture.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, ensuring security, privacy, scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience in TypeScript backend development.
• Good knowledge of Python and interest in AI/ML systems.
• Hands‑on experience deploying cloud applications.
• Experience integrating LLMs and AI APIs.
• Understanding of security, privacy, scalability and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and ship product‑focused solutions.
