Senior WASH Manager – Niamey

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Senior WASH Manager to lead the strategic development, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of water, sanitation and hygiene programmes in Niger. The role ensures alignment with organisational, government and donor priorities while driving innovation and sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee WASH programme strategies, work plans and budgets.
• Monitor programme performance, ensure quality standards and compliance with donor requirements.
• Provide technical support and capacity building to staff and partners.
• Utilise data‑driven decision making to improve programme effectiveness.
• Mobilise resources and forge strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, donors and academic institutions.
• Represent World Vision in national and regional WASH networks.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Water Resources, Public Health, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience (minimum 8 years) managing large‑scale WASH programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to work with multi‑stakeholder environments and secure donor funding.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
