Private Sector Engagement Expert – Non-Key Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role will help strengthen private‑sector participation, business development, innovation and investment across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage companies, entrepreneurs and investors to foster partnerships and commercial opportunities in the space, geospatial and technology sectors.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to pinpoint growth areas and investment needs.
• Facilitate matchmaking, business support and access‑to‑finance activities for stakeholders in Africa and the EU.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and knowledge exchange initiatives that promote sustainable space ecosystem development.
• Provide strategic advice on innovation, commercialization and private‑sector investment strategies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least 4 years of direct experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market analysis and matchmaking.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
