Agent Operations Territory Lead

About the role

Wave is building cash-less financial services across Africa and needs a Territory Lead to oversee the rollout of its agent network in Niger. You will manage recruitment, training and performance of agents in several up-country cities, ensuring compliance and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of agent openers to recruit, train and onboard agents across Tahoua, Arlit, Dogondoutchi and Maradi.
• Ensure agents meet legal, policy and quality standards, including contract terms, fraud management and cash-float availability.
• Collaborate with branding, liquidity and risk teams to equip agents, monitor cash balances and conduct routine field visits.
• Identify under-performing agents, close accounts, recover equipment and remove branding materials.
• Serve as the primary contact for all agencies acquiring Wave products within the territory and champion high-quality customer service.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and the local language.
• At least 2 years of experience managing an agent network in Niger, including 1 year leading field-based teams.
• Willingness to relocate to or work from Tahoua, Arlit, Dogondoutchi or Maradi.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or an equivalent field.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly and proactively.
• Tech-savvy with solid Excel skills and willingness to adopt new tools.
