Pipeline inspection technology expert

About the role

We are looking for a senior Pipeline Inspection Technology Expert to lead the development, implementation and management of advanced inspection solutions for oil and gas pipelines in Niger. The role combines technical innovation, project delivery and team leadership to ensure safe and reliable pipeline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and integrate new domestic and international pipeline inspection technologies, customizing solutions for complex projects.
• Define and execute R&D plans, conduct research on industry trends, and develop medium‑ and long‑term technology roadmaps.
• Oversee all inspection operations, optimizing equipment use, material procurement and personnel deployment.
• Build, train and motivate a high‑performing technical team, fostering internal and external knowledge exchange.
• Implement safety regulations, ensure compliance with national laws and company policies, and prevent accidents.
• Engage with key customers, provide technical support during testing, and drive market expansion for inspection services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in oil and gas storage, transportation or a related field; master’s or doctoral degree preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Senior Engineer, Registered Safety Engineer or MFL‑II.
• More than 10 years of experience in pipeline inspection, technology development or related engineering roles.
