HR & Facilities Lead

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a senior HR professional to lead its People strategy in Niger. As the HR & Facilities Lead, you will shape HR policy, ensure compliance with Niger labor law, and drive a high‑performance culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement HR strategies that meet the company’s objectives in Niger.
• Provide expert advice to senior management on payroll, learning & development, employment law, HR policy, and workforce development.
• Develop employment policies in collaboration with senior leaders, trade unions, staff, and partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local HR team to maintain professional standards.
• Review and improve employee programs, benefits, and compensation packages.
• Ensure full compliance with current regulations, professional standards, and legislation.
• Oversee succession planning and continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on engagement, welfare, and productivity.
• Design and manage performance review processes that support employee development.
• Promote a strong organizational culture aligned with Wave’s values and drive diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Niger labor law and HR policy definition.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing HR teams.
• Strong ability to advise senior management on all HR matters.
• Experience developing and implementing employee benefits, succession plans, and performance management systems.
• Commitment to fostering a high‑performance, inclusive workplace culture.
