Finance Manager – Niger

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance function in Niger. The role ensures responsible management of financial resources, accurate reporting, and compliance with legal, regulatory, and donor requirements while supporting the organization’s humanitarian mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of all finance policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives across country and area offices.
• Provide line‑management for finance staff, including performance management, recruitment, induction and professional development.
• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with donor regulations and conduct regular audits.
• Manage risk assessment, mitigation measures and reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills and solid understanding of the Central Sahel context.
• Proven experience in finance systems, procedures, audit, risk management and budgeting.
• Preferably experience within NRC or similar humanitarian NGOs.
