Field Officer

About the role

Wave is expanding its financial services in Niger and needs a Field Officer to manage product rollouts and the agent network in Niamey and surrounding regions. You will represent Wave, oversee distribution and marketing, interact with users, and gather feedback on money‑transfer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure agent quality and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Guarantee agents are fully trained on applications, contracts, rebalancing, and fraud management.
• Collaborate with the BTL team to equip and brand the agent network.
• Work with the liquidity team to monitor cash and float availability at agent locations.
• Conduct routine visits to manage risk, assess performance, and report emerging issues.
• Identify under‑performing agents, close them, recover Wave equipment, and remove branding material.
• Serve as the primary contact for all agency networks acquiring Wave products in the territory.
• Champion excellent customer service among distributors and agents.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French, with a good command of at least one local language.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience managing an agent network in Niger, including at least 1 year leading field‑based teams.
• Familiarity with the regions of Tahoua, Tilaberi, Niamey, Maradi and Dosso.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team.
