Consultant(e) national(e) – Formateur atelier recherche-action IND RAP

About the role

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is seeking a national consultant to design and deliver a five‑day training workshop for senior staff of the Institut National de la Recherche et de l’Analyse des Politiques (INDRAP) in Niamey. The consultant will introduce participants to action‑research methodology and support them in applying it to education sector challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare training materials, tools and documentation on action‑research, qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Facilitate interactive sessions, ensuring active participation and knowledge transfer.
• Guide participants through practical exercises and case studies relevant to Niger’s education system.
• Produce a final report summarising workshop outcomes, recommendations and follow‑up actions.
• Coordinate with INDRAP officials and UNICEF focal points to align the training with national priorities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in education, pedagogy, social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of experience delivering training, conducting research or leading educational experiments.
• Proven expertise in action‑research methodology and both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Experience working with public education institutions, ministries or development partners.
• Fluent written and spoken French.
