Project Management Support - Senior Officer

About the role

The Project Management Support Senior Officer will ensure efficient delivery of project activities in Niger and the wider West African region. The role provides analytical and operational support throughout planning, execution and reporting, aligning results with donor and organisational expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and update detailed implementation plans, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Provide organisational support for missions, workshops and dialogues, preparing materials and reports.
• Integrate sustainability, social inclusion and gender equality considerations into all project stages.
• Support compliance with Health, Safety, Social and Environmental (HSSE) standards.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of narrative and financial reports, ensuring donor compliance.
• Track project progress against scope, schedule, cost and quality indicators, flagging deviations and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain dashboards and monitoring tools to facilitate evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Build and maintain relationships with national authorities, donors, partners and grantees, facilitating regular communication and coordination.
• Support the organisation and delivery of training and knowledge‑sharing sessions on project management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management support or coordination, preferably in development or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience in monitoring, reporting and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and documentation.
• Familiarity with HSSE standards and gender‑inclusive project design.
• Willingness to travel for field missions across West Africa.
