Leaf Quality Manager (Agri Business)

About the role

BAT is looking for a Leaf Quality Manager to lead quality assurance for green leaf processing within its agri‑business division. The role ensures product integrity, compliance with BAT specifications and customer requirements, and drives continuous improvement across the leaf supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and coordinate quality assurance operations for green leaf processing and packaging in both factories.
• Ensure compliance with BAT Leaf Supplier Manual, QC protocols and arrange sampling for internal and export buyers.
• Inspect packed leaf, analyse data and communicate results to production and product management teams.
• Provide accurate product and process quality information to support decision‑making.
• Audit, review and improve the quality system, procedures and specification management.
• Lead and develop the QA team, promote a culture of continuous improvement and celebrate achievements.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers (PMDs, export customers, blending team) and communicate product parameters.
• Design and execute trials to enhance product quality and support material, process and product development projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience in quality assurance or quality management within an agri‑business or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret quality data.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
