Director of Community Based Inclusive Development

About the role

Christian Blind Mission seeks an experienced Director to lead its newly refocused Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Initiative. This senior leadership position will shape global strategies for inclusive community support, education, and livelihood, strengthening CBM’s impact for persons with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the CBID Division, overseeing resources, budgets and performance.
• Lead, develop and inspire a globally distributed team of CBID and technical advisors.
• Develop and implement the global CBID strategy within CBM’s overall strategy and monitor emerging sector trends.
• Develop technical standards, guidance and tools for inclusive community support, education and livelihood programmes.
• Contribute to resource mobilisation strategies, donor engagement and high‑quality funding proposals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Disability Studies, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of international development experience at managerial level.
• Extensive expertise in disability‑inclusive development and community‑based approaches.
• Proven capability to lead multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
• Professional English; German, French and/or Spanish desirable.
• Identification with Christian values and CBM’s mandate.
