Child Protection Officer – Fixed Term (Niamey, Niger)

About the role

The Child Protection Officer will support UNICEF's mission to safeguard children’s rights in Niger. Reporting to the Chief of Child Protection, the officer will provide technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programme cycle, from planning to results delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and planning of child protection programmes.
• Manage programme implementation, monitoring progress and ensuring delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams.
• Coordinate monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative approaches and knowledge sharing within the country office.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in child protection or related humanitarian programmes.
• Ability to deliver technical, operational and administrative support across programme phases.
• Strong coordination, monitoring and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and partnership‑building abilities.
• Willingness to work onsite in Niamey.
