Senior Recruiter (Niamey, Niger)

About the role

Wave is expanding its operations in Niger and seeks a mission‑driven Senior Recruiter to lead end‑to‑end hiring for a range of critical positions. You will own the full recruitment cycle, build sourcing strategies for the local market and partner closely with hiring managers to deliver high‑quality talent.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle recruitment for leadership and business‑critical roles in Niger.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies tailored to the Niger talent market and contribute to regional pipelines.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring strategies and ensure rapid, high‑quality hires.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and act as an ambassador of Wave’s mission.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes, identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
• Use data and analytics to track pipeline health, optimize hiring funnels and inform decisions.
• Maintain accurate data in Greenhouse ATS and generate insightful reports.
• Drive inclusive hiring practices to build diverse, high‑performing teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of end‑to‑end recruitment experience, including 3+ years in‑house recruiting in Africa.
• Proven track record hiring for both field and office roles.
• Deep understanding of the Niger talent market.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset comfortable with metrics, KPIs and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
