Risk Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our global team and help protect our platform from financial and operational threats. Working remotely, you will analyze large datasets, detect emerging fraud patterns, and design mitigation strategies that keep user experience smooth.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to spot payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity attacks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python or similar tools to uncover abuse vectors and quantify impact.
• Design and implement rules, models, and automated workflows that detect and prevent high‑risk activity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a primary responder during fraud spikes or other risk incidents, making rapid decisions to limit loss while preserving user trust.
• Build dashboards and reports that track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and work with engineers to improve detection capabilities.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety, or financial crime investigations, preferably in tech, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn raw, messy data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders, including executives and legal teams.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR or PSD2.
