Regional Finance Analyst II – CWARO

About the role

The Regional Finance Analyst II will support CRS’s financial operations across the CWARO region. Working remotely, you will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide direct financial analysis for country programs while collaborating with HQ, program finance, and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Review monthly actual performance against budget and ensure accurate projections.
• Compile analyses on the overall financial health of country programs.
• Assist in developing proposal budgets and implementing audit corrective action plans.
• Support special projects, complex reconciliations, and new grant setups.
• Conduct periodic support visits to country programs and onboard finance staff.
• Provide training and capacity building on financial management, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to global finance initiatives to improve reporting tools and ERP functionality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of financial analysis or accounting experience in the non‑profit sector.
• Demonstrated familiarity with GAAP, fund accounting, and donor regulations (U.S. Government and major non‑USG donors).
• Fluency in English and French.
• Willingness to travel up to 40 % of the time.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with various accounting software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
