Pipeline Integrity Engineer

About the role

Join a leading Chinese oil and gas inspection and technical service company operating in Niger. As a Pipeline Integrity Engineer you will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of integrity management programs for pipelines and related facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the creation of pipeline integrity management rules, manuals and work instructions in line with the company’s integrity framework.
• Develop annual work programmes, budgets, track performance and prepare comprehensive summary reports.
• Conduct risk identification, quantitative risk assessment and High‑Consequence Area (HCA) identification for all facilities.
• Design and implement pipeline‑by‑pipeline, station‑by‑station and zone‑by‑zone integrity schemes.
• Manage all integrity activities including inline inspection (ILI), direct assessment, data evaluation, corrosion monitoring, maintenance, repairs and risk mitigation.
• Collect, sort, store, analyse and report all integrity‑related data.
• Organise technical training for integrity personnel and perform internal supervision and field inspections.
• Ensure alignment of the integrity system with digital and intelligent pipeline construction requirements.
• Support QHSE compliance and other duties as assigned by the Technical Service Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Oil & Gas Transportation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in pipeline engineering, asset integrity management, corrosion control or ILI data analysis.
• Professional certifications in pipeline integrity (e.g., NACE/AMPP, API) are a plus.
