Pediatrician & Head of Clinical Services

About the role

CURE International is seeking an experienced pediatrician to lead its Clinical Services Department at the children’s hospital in Niamey, Niger. This full‑time position combines direct patient care for children with severe orthopedic and other disabilities with overall responsibility for the quality and coordination of clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric medical care, including assessment and treatment of orthopedic conditions, burn sequelae, cleft lip‑palate, and other disabilities.
• Lead and supervise the clinical services team, ensuring high standards of patient safety, clinical protocols, and compassionate care.
• Oversee surgical planning and postoperative follow‑up for complex pediatric cases.
• Coordinate training programs for local health professionals and support advocacy for the rights of children with disabilities.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, local partners, and faith‑based initiatives to align clinical operations with CURE’s mission.

Required profile

• Licensed pediatrician with several years of clinical experience, preferably in low‑resource or humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong commitment to CURE’s Christian values and to serving children holistically.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to challenging conditions.
