Health Officer (NO-2) – Full Time

About the role

The Health Officer will support UNICEF’s Health Programme in Niger, reporting to the Health/CSD/Nutrition Specialist or Manager. The role involves providing technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programme cycle, from planning to delivery and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and planning of health and nutrition interventions within the country programme.
• Support programme management, monitoring progress and ensuring delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational guidance for programme implementation, including emergency preparedness.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, nutrition, epidemiology, health policy, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in public health or nutrition planning, maternal and neonatal health, or health emergency preparedness.
• Demonstrated ability to build capacity and develop partnerships.
• Fluent proficiency in French.
