Head of Support – Niger / Central Sahel

About the role

The Head of Support for Niger within the Central Sahel Multi‑Country Office (MCO) leads the country‑level support platform, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and efficient services for NRC operations in Niger. This senior position reports to the Multi‑Country Director and works closely with the Burkina Faso Country Representative.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line management for Niger support managers/coordinators in Finance, HR/Admin, Logistics and ICT.
• Represent Niger support priorities, risks and constraints in the Country Management Group and Multi‑Country Management Group.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, donor requirements and auditor standards across all support functions.
• Facilitate strategic input from support functions into the Central Sahel strategy, Niger operating plans and MCO priorities.
• Contribute to proposal development by aligning operational support with programme plans and feasibility.
• Coordinate peer activities with the Burkina Faso Country Representative and other support functions to promote harmonisation.

Required profile

• Experienced humanitarian support leader with a strong understanding of Niger’s operational and administrative context.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, focus on internal controls and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi‑country management structure while respecting country‑level accountability.
