About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer to join its network of franchise locations. You will work in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment, preparing individual, trust, and partnership tax returns while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Provide clear, courteous guidance to clients throughout the tax filing process.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Stay up‑to‑date on tax code changes and industry best practices.

Required profile

• At least one tax season of experience completing individual, trust, or partnership returns.
• Strong passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new software.
• Background in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax preparation.

Required skills

• PTIN certification (required).
• Basic computer proficiency.
