About the role
The Drill Technician supports the Driller in conducting drilling operations on construction sites, handling equipment and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This hands‑on role involves moving materials, operating various site machinery, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety and quality procedures on site.
- Lift and move drill pipe and materials up to 50 lb, and assist with components up to 100 lb.
- Collaborate with the drilling crew and work independently to meet project goals.
- Operate and maintain service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps, and other drilling equipment.
- Transport drilling rigs and equipment between sites and set up job sites.
- Complete daily paperwork for time and material records.
- Collect and label drill cutting or water samples for analysis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Construction site or similar outdoor industry experience preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and dependability.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand for 10‑12‑hour shifts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally.
