Agent Operations Regional Lead

About the role

Wave is expanding its agent network across Niger and is looking for a Regional Lead to drive agent acquisition, activation, and ongoing performance. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will oversee all aspects of the agent lifecycle, ensuring compliance, liquidity, and quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Agent Openers to identify high‑potential locations and acquire new agents according to selection criteria.
• Ensure agents are recruited, contractually compliant, and trained on contract terms before signing.
• Oversee agent activation, certification, KYC, AML/CTF training, supply delivery, and outlet branding.
• Monitor cash and e‑value availability at agents in partnership with Liquidity and Agent Quality teams.
• Manage risk through routine visits, performance monitoring, and reporting on emerging issues.
• Identify agents for closure, recover Wave equipment, and remove branding as required.
• Serve as the primary contact for the agency network, ensuring operational excellence, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Champion high‑quality customer service and adherence to service standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing agent or field operations in a financial services or fintech environment.
• Strong understanding of KYC, AML/CTF, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and drive results against targets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
