Programme Associate (Cash-Based Transfers) - G6

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is recruiting a Programme Associate (G6) in Diffa, Niger, reporting directly to the Country Programme Manager and technically to the CBT unit of the country office. The post covers planning and implementation of cash-based transfers (CBT) operations, beneficiary data management, partner monitoring and compliance, market indicators and field coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare operational plans, distribution calendars and monitoring tools, and coordinate with partners on CBT distributions, asset creation activities and other programming
• Check CBT beneficiary data accuracy and completeness, enter it into COMET on time, and keep beneficiary lists and SCOPE records updated and auditable
• Review partners' narrative and financial reports, check eligibility and compliance with budgets and agreements, and support partners with capacity-building
• Track market indicators in covered areas, carry out field visits to assess quality and practices, and compile periodic activity reports
• Take part in coordination meetings, write minutes and follow up on decisions, and report on planning, implementation and results to the country office

Required profile

• At least secondary education, or a degree in social sciences, agronomy or economics
• At least 6 years of humanitarian experience, including 3 years in food assistance, programme management, nutrition or education, with good knowledge of Food-for-Assets activities
• Good knowledge of rural development, nutrition and education, and of the humanitarian work environment

Required skills

• Good analytical ability, prioritization and teamwork under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Good command of Word and Excel
