Humanitarian Strategic Analyst – Africa (French & English)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Humanitarian Strategic Analyst for the Africa region. The analyst will provide context‑specific strategic analysis to support decision‑makers across country, regional and global levels, especially during periods of significant change.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct situational, conflict, trend, scenario and stakeholder analyses to inform humanitarian response.
• Develop and maintain scenario‑based planning tools to support rapid decision‑making.
• Provide capacity‑building support to country offices and regional teams on analysis methods.
• Monitor geopolitical events and identify strategic issues affecting operations.
• Contribute to risk assessments, preparedness plans, business continuity, advocacy strategies and policy development.
• Deliver conflict‑sensitive insights to anticipate escalation and guide principled responses.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Unrestricted right to work in an approved Save the Children location in Africa.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Experience in humanitarian or development analysis, including risk and scenario planning.
