Education Specialist – USAID Increasing Pathways to Learning (IPL)

About the role

The Education Advisor will provide technical leadership for the USAID Increasing Pathways to Learning (IPL) project in Niger. The role focuses on strengthening non‑formal education systems, building capacity of teachers, and engaging parents and community leaders to ensure safe, equitable learning opportunities for out‑of‑school youth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of non‑formal education strategies aligned with IPL objectives.
• Develop and deliver training modules for educators, incorporating adaptive pedagogy and accelerated learning approaches.
• Collaborate with government specialists to create assessment tools and supplementary learning materials.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities for parents, caregivers, and community leaders.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure quality and relevance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of experience in education and development, including non‑formal education program design.
• Demonstrated experience with girls’ education, conflict‑sensitive education, and positive youth development.
• Extensive knowledge of the Nigerien national and sub‑national education system.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
